109th Birth Anniversary

An art exhibition commemorating the 109th birth anniversary of Kala Guru Prof. Sukhvir Sanghal was organized by Kala Bharti Trust in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation at Hazratganj Metro Station on 14th July 2023. The exhibition paid tribute to the artist’s enduring legacy and his significant contribution to Indian art.

The event was inaugurated by Member of Rajya Sabha and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Hon. Dinesh Sharma. Guests of honour included Mr. Dharmendra Mishra (Director, INTACH), Mr. Mohammad Shakil (Senior Artist), Mr. Swadesh Singh (GM Operations, UPMRC), Ms. Pushpa Bellani (Company Secretary, UPMRC), and Dr. S. S. Hashmi (Senior Journalist), whose presence added further distinction to the occasion.

As part of the celebrations, a free art workshop on the traditional wash painting technique was conducted by Dr. Stuti Singhal, offering participants a hands-on experience of the style closely associated with Prof. Sanghal’s artistic practice.
