Priyam Chandra
Priyam Chandra undertook the initiative to preserve, document, and revive the artistic legacy of Prof. Sukhvir Sanghal. After a successful international career in technology, including professional engagements with American Express, Comcast, and IBM in the United States and India, she chose to leave the corporate world to dedicate herself entirely to the preservation and promotion of her grandfather’s artistic legacy.
Driven by a deep commitment to Indian art and cultural heritage, she has played a significant role in reintroducing Prof. Sukhvir Sanghal’s works and philosophy to contemporary audiences through exhibitions, publications, retrospectives, workshops, archival initiatives, and cultural collaborations. Her efforts include curating solo exhibitions at institutions such as Lalit Kala Akademi and India International Centre, publishing the restored manuscript Evolution of Art and Artist – Volume I, organizing wash painting workshops and retrospective exhibitions, and developing the official digital archive and website dedicated to the artist.
